Charlie & Hunter is headed up by Richard Gee, experienced to board level with a keen focus on creativity, commerciality and operations.

Senior Catering Consultant to MATCH Hospitality at the FIFA World Cup 2022™, FWWC 2023™, Hospitality Project Operations Manager for Premium Events at Silverstone Race Circuit, Project Manager for Jardin Blanc Hospitality at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Senior Hospitality Consultant to FIFA World Cup 2018™, Operations Manager for FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ and Operations Director for the Olympic Hospitality Centre for 2012. These along with Hospitality Consultant to World Rugby for the 2015 RWC and the lead for the Patrons facility at The Open Golf Championship are just some of the current and previous roles that Richard brings to the C&H team.

Philip Bennetts

Creative Design

Originally from an architectural background, Phil moved over to the world of live events and exhibitions in 2012.

He has since worked to design and deliver a wide range of global projects across a variety of sectors. These include live, public and corporate events as well as trade shows and product launches. 

Outside of design he is passionate about cooking, coffee and the coast!

Andy Ward

CAD Technician & Build manager

Andy as owner of Award Events has worked alongside Charlie & Hunter in various supporting roles, providing CAD overlay plans for RHS Chelsea Flower show, Silverstone Grand Prix and Royal Ascot as well as catering support roles and interior fitout management for The Open.

He studied Architecture at Leeds university where he harnessed his skills in the use of Autocad, following his studies he moved into the events world as a technician managing stage lighting, sound, rigging, sets, and staging.

He has an extensive background in events having worked in numerous roles within the industry, he now supports Charlie & Hunter in two formats. The first is offering CAD event plans, this can range from one small kitchen, 45+ kitchens onto complete overlay site plans, the likes of which he produces for the Lawn Tennis Association, The Jockey Club and The Open.  The second function is implementing said site plans by means of a site managerial role. This involves siting of key equipment, infrastructure, scaffolding, generators as well as managing overall site build regulations, supply chain and contractor management.

He has worked across an extremely broad spectrum of events from the Isle of Wight music festival, Chelsea Flower show, Rugby World Cups, The Open, to more bespoke events such as the WeWork summer camp and the Commonwealth Heads of Government meetings.

Nigel Bambridge

Consultant

Nigel joined C&H as Consultant in 2020. He is a fantastic addition to the C&H team with key focus on project management, food innovation and a passion for teamwork that inspires all around him.

Nigel is currently leading C&H’s contract at Lapland UK where we are contracted to build a commercially sound F&B business for them. Lapland UK is one of our year round contracts that allows our clients to have a resource with a deep knowledge base and skill level but as and when required.

Nigel’s career history has given him vast operational experience. Including the Queens Club Tennis, Ryder Cups, 2015 Rugby World Cup, Formula 1 and many more.

Leon Smith

Chef

Leon Smith joined Charlie & Hunter in 2020 to oversee our consultancy project with Lapland UK. Leon’s constant innovation in culinary guest experience were a perfect fit for the role.

After many years of working together through different companies, it was a real joy to have Leon join the team.

Innovation and creativity are key to all guest experience, Leon has that in spades.

Kelly Gee

The Boss

Kelly is the driving force behind C&H, the boss! Meticulous in planning, creative in delivery and has an incredibly kind heart.

Kelly spent many years in London working for various event venue catering companies, hugely experienced in putting together some of the best events. Kelly opened St Pancreas station with a fabulous reception for over 2,000 people and oversaw the catering at many Farnborough and Le Bourget airshows.
